Reduce Listing Inefficiencies With Ocusell

At Ocusell we understand time is money when it comes to real estate listings. The less time it takes to publish a property on the market, the sooner the ball can get rolling on finding a buyer and closing the deal. As Ocusell has made its way across a diverse array of multiple listing services and brokerages of every type, one of the most frequent pieces of feedback we hear is how it helped uncover parts of the listing workflow that were less efficient than they needed to be. We want to make clear, we haven’t created a robo-listing process which takes the human out of the transaction. We have simply automated a few of the tedious back-office steps to give you your time back.

We’ll start with how Ocusell revolutionizes management of photos and other media. So much time was wasted on a photographer sending pictures to an agent, the agent uploading them, and dragging them into the order they want them to appear. With our List and List Plus products you can allow photo access only into the add/edit form so a photographer can upload them directly into the draft (they won’t be able to access any of the other parts of the form). Once they’re uploaded you can use the Reorder button to have them automatically sort themselves in the natural flow of walking through a house. For example, the picture of the foyer comes before the living room which comes before the kitchen. This is made possible by the built-in AI feature which has been trained to read pictures and organize them based on a natural flow.

We’ve reduced the need for back-and-forth in other ways too. Most of the communication that takes place between an agent and their listing admin when they’re reviewing the small details doesn’t need to take place since the add/edit form makes it obvious where the gaps are and what other information still needs to be tracked down. We’ve even cut down on the amount of information that they need to search for since up to 60% of the form is auto-filled through our integration with public records.

One of our biggest time savers is the automatic notifications you can set up and customize to your specific needs. Our clients told us they wanted a way to keep their team and contractors in the loop in real-time without having to reach out to each one individually. We built our Custom Notifications feature to solve this pain point. You can see a deeper look at how it works here, but a brief overview of situations where you can save time include:

  1. As soon as you create a draft listing your list of preferred vendors can receive an email saying the listing is Coming Soon
  2. Your broker can be notified when a listing changes status or price
  3. Your design partners can be notified that a property is going to need marketing assets

All these specific examples result in a much bigger efficiency of maximizing the off hours that used to slow down turnaround time. We have heard over and over again that admin staff are more likely to go into the listing during evenings and weekends to make an update since it only takes a minute or two. They can even make changes from a mobile device in many cases. Before it was customary to wait until the next workday, but with Ocusell the platform is so easy to use that they attend to the request much more quickly.
