Why Ocusell Is Uniquely Positioned To Align With The Next Phase Of Real Estate Growth

Harmonize Final

The continual evolution of any industry always requires a new set of tools to keep pace with the new way of doing business. Ocusell isn’t just building a platform for today, we’re looking into the future and putting in place tools that will withstand the next wave of change. Here are just a few of the ways we’re helping the industry bridge into the next era.

Bringing Different Technology Under One Roof

Real estate agents are fatigued with how many different tech tools they use during an entire transaction cycle. There was a time when software could only perform a core set of similar functions, but with the more sophisticated tools we have available it is now possible to integrate more functions even if they have very different underlying code. In our add/edit form you can:

  • Complete and publish a listing in less than 20 minutes since the form is so easy to use
  • Automatically fill in 40-60 of the fields from public property data (based on public API functions)
  • Access analytics about all the listings in a brokerage (List Plus only)
  • …and much more!

A New Way Of Managing Listings

You might not have heard the term “orchestration layer” yet, but you’re going to hear about it a lot more in the next few years. This is part of the new lingo emerging alongside the new ways of doing business at an enterprise scale. In this example, it is one of the ways to describe the ‘how’ behind tech platforms that are doing many more tasks, of greater complexity, at greatly increased speed. Ocusell is the new orchestration layer for real estate.

If you picture a conductor standing before an orchestra, the conductor is the one calling the shots about when certain instruments start playing. In a similar manner, new tech platforms can do many more things than ever before. With Ocusell you have much more visibility and control into how your listings are performing and where they appear in the digital universe. You now have a conductor’s seat in front of an orchestra of tools you never had before.

Multi-MLS Publishing Could Increase Subscriber Numbers

As the agent population decreases and costs become higher, there has been a growing trend of consolidating MLSs and Associations to cut down on duplicate overhead. With Ocusell you don’t need to merge MLSs, you can even find a path forward to entice agents from adjacent jurisdictions to join your MLS. Our single-entry form can simultaneously publish to any MLS where someone has credentials. We have found a way to overcome the friction of listing in multiple MLSs, which gives neighboring agents more incentive to join a nearby MLS.

AI: Make It Useful, But Keep It Optional

Ai is certainly going to become standard operating procedure as part of the real estate lifecycle, but the exact role it will play is still up in the air. While the industry grapples with how best to use AI, we have introduced AI tools that have practical applications that go beyond AI for the sake of saying you use AI. Our tools, which are always optional, can “read” listing photos and generate public remarks about the property based on the images the agent uploads. It can:

  • Have AI generate public remarks based on the photos in the listing
  • Automatically reorder the photos in a natural walkthrough flow
  • Catch potential rule violations, such as a lead photo which isn’t the front of a property or images where there are people in the photo

Intuitive Interface

The era of clunky real estate software may be coming to an end. Many platforms were able to get away with bad user experiences since they were the only game in town. But agent frustration has reached a tipping point and software companies need to adapt. We made Ocusell easy to use from start to finish. This means an easy single sign on entry, an intuitive add/edit form, one of the easiest photo management sections in the industry, and a smoother method for inviting collaborators into the listing without giving them access to the entire form. We’re building even more features to make things easier for agents and admins, so keep an eye out for our upcoming updates.
